Our story

A story that lives on at the table

Caranguejo da Villa was born from memories of family Sundays and a recipe notebook handwritten by the founder’s great-grandmother

On Sundays, the great-grandmother’s house filled up with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. That was where the family came together, around her recipes, especially her crab feasts

Decades later, after the great-grandmother and, years after that, the founder’s mother had passed away, the family found the great-grandmother’s handwritten notebook again while sorting through the mother’s belongings

That rediscovery gave birth to Caranguejo da Villa: a way to preserve this legacy and keep bringing people together at the table
